My name is Ray Ward. I am a licensed clinical professional counselor in the state of Idaho. I hold a BS in Criminal Justice and a MS in Mental Health Counseling. I have been a practicing therapist since 2014. Prior to that, I spent a decade working with at-risk juveniles in a variety of settings. For the past ten years I have worked for a major mental health agency in Boise and Nampa.

I offer an eclectic and integrated approach to counseling, relying largely on Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, Client-Centered, and Adlerian-based techniques. I am currently engaged in the process of incorporating various neuro-science based techniques into my practice for managing anxiety and depression. I work with populations ages 18+ and willing to counsel couples and families, as well. I am respectful of all spiritual and religious denominations. I offer a safe and welcome space for people of all races, ethnic backgrounds, and members of the LGBT community. I am well-versed on a variety of mental health disorders, including depression, bipolar, anxiety, and schizophrenia.

I enjoy cooking, hanging out in the wilderness, going to concerts, anything related to Star Wars, and spending quality time with my friends and family. I am affiliated with the American Counseling Association, the Idaho Society for Individual Psychotherapy, and the Human Rights Campaign.
